Uprooted 2007
Uprooted was a dramatic and eerie installation of four hundred and sixty five plaster teeth suspended in a tree sited locally to my home in 2007. This piece expressed being haunted by nightmares of teeth falling out in a recurring dream. Each tooth emphasied the inescapable situation of my financial instability. The piece also had a contrasting, enchanting baby mobile feel to it and reminds the viewer of the loss of milk teeth that children endure as part of growing up. The teeth hung in this tree until they were naturally dissolved by the rain, leaving me to hope with childish excitement that the tooth fairy may come before they were gone.

Oooo creepy!!!
